These terms cover THE CUT list and THE CUT letter.

What THE CUT is

THE CUT is a softball newsletter.

SOFTBALL NEWSLETTER is the descriptor. It does not replace the name.

Weekend Watchlist is the park section: parking, gates, weather, field rules, TD notes, and which park. That section is for parents in the stands at girls travel-fastpitch in Orange County and SoCal, including PGF, USSSA, TCS, and Surf City events.

THE CUT is not a youth team. It is not a tournament. It is not a coaches portal. It is not a hotel booker.

Who we are not

THE CUT is not affiliated with PGF, USSSA, TCS, or Surf City.

THE CUT is not affiliated with the parks or the tournament directors.

We read what they post. We do not speak for them.

Where the facts come from

Park facts in Weekend Watchlist come from public tournament pages, complex pages, city park PDFs, and the National Weather Service.

If a fact is not posted, we write NOT POSTED. We do not invent it.

Posted facts can change. Parks change gates. TDs change fields. Weather changes.

We re-check public sources before each send. The day can still change. Follow the park and the TD on site.

The letter

The letter is free for now.

Later we may offer paid products. Prices are not set. A paid product, if it comes, will have its own terms.

The list

We store your email so we can send the letter.

If you give a first name, we may store that too. We do not ask for kid names, team names, phone, or home address.

We do not sell the list.

You can unsubscribe. Use the link in the letter, or write THE CUT inbox once it is live.

We keep only what we need to send the letter and honor an unsubscribe.

Advice is not a guarantee

Notes on outside food, gates, and cleats are a guide, not a promise.

Parks and TDs set the rules that day. Parents still follow the park and the TD on site.

Weather notes are from public forecasts. They can be wrong. Check the sky and the park.

If we wrote NOT POSTED, that means we did not find it. It does not mean the rule does not exist.
